R ruler of Horizontal line
水辺線のR定規
This work represents the Earth’s radius, 6,378.1 kilo- meters, using a curve ruler. It employs a subtle curve ruler that is imperceivable to the naked eye. While evoking the straight line of the horizon, it also invites contemplation of the Earth’s curvature. The artist’s innovative perspective, focusing on the gentle curva- ture of the horizon, is intriguing. It prompts viewers to reconsider their current place on the globe.

海に行った時、靴を脱いで波に足をつけて遊んでいると、いつの間にか結局濡れてしまうことが多々あります。
その光景を思い浮かべて、色の薄いジーンズの一部をあえて濃いインディゴで染めました。
眺めているうちにそのラインが水平線のようにも見えてくることで、ジーンズに海が現れるようなイ メージで制作しました。
