Jeans on the edge of the water
波打ち際のジーンズ
When visiting the water’s edge, we often play the game of “how far can we go into the sea without get- ting wet,” sometimes ending up getting wet. This indi- go-dyed pair of jeans depict such a scene, skillfully blending the horizon and sea imagery into a single pair of jeans. This unique work highlights how the in- terpretation of artwork can vary among viewers.

海に行った時、靴を脱いで波に足をつけて遊んでいると、いつの間にか結局濡れてしまうことが多々あります。
その光景を思い浮かべて、色の薄いジーンズの一部をあえて濃いインディゴで染めました。
眺めているうちにそのラインが水平線のようにも見えてくることで、ジーンズに海が現れるようなイ メージで制作しました。
